What is that? Unexpected Trail Cam Pictures

Post  BIG J on 2012-09-18, 15:30

So we all know how it goes, you put your trail cam out in your favorite spot to see what monsters are traveling near you. All that preparation to get just the right angle and lighting and you walk away praying to whatever higher power you believe in that you get that ultimate snapshot of the beast. Anxiety builds as days/nights go by and you just can't wait to get back and see what you got. Once you get to the camera you see that there are a ton of pictures taken and that feeling of success falls over you. So maybe you finally got the picture of that trophy you have been chasing but there is also that experience of seeing something you never expected to see. That's what I wanted to show you all today. These pictures were courtesy of tlmaddox131 and our recent trip to camp. If you missed that story check it out here. Check out our unexpected photos below:

A turkey vulture on a deer carcass.

A hawk.

A nighttime shot of a fox.

Is this a cat? Maybe a wombat lol.

A possum.

A raccoon.

A black bear at the mineral site.

We would love to see what you all are catching on your trail cams, unexpected or not. Don't be shy, we had more photos of us than we did of animals.

These are great! Hope to see lots more from others - I don't have a trail cam but love to see what gets "caught"! Thanks for sharing!

Too cool! Those cameras are amazing and too much fun! I agree, it must be a Wombat.
